Description

Agnes Nigiyok is storytelling of the time when she was a young girl and adopted by her aunt and uncle. It was a time when there were no White People, of when they lived a traditional lifestyle, of when they still only used bows and arrows to hunt, of traditional fishing methods, of when any useable item and any meat was always well put to use with nothing wasted, of food preservation, homeade containers, of traditional caribou skin tent homes, of stone seal oil lamps, ptarmigan skin rags, of when White People started arriving and rifles were started being used for hunting.
