Mary Kailek is storytelling from the 1937 era, of when she was doing a lot of sewing, of visitors and listening to storytelling in the evenings, of their travels for Christmas and New Years, stories of her dad and Joe trapping and hunting stories, of her little brother Donald Kaglik, travels to Aklavik including when her dad was working for the police who were waiting for him there, of the many tents, of the July 1st Gathering of Gwich’in and Inuvialuit, then traveling on to Tuktoyaktuk when they’re were only tents, of raising and looking after her siblings and of keeping her late mom’s word, of more people, travels, and more.
