Description
An account of the resource
Agnes Nigiyok is telling the very sad tale of when she was taken away from her family and homeland accross the ocean to Kugluktuk, Nunavut, as a young girl, by the Sikoalok’s who treated her like a dog and made her suffer and treated her very badly, when they had taken her in their plans to have her marry their son when they grew up. She would be very fearful of the Sikoakok’s and would cry only when she was alone for missing her family as she thought she would never see them again.

She adds, that is when she would go from home to home and lived in fear of the couple, who had wanted her for a daughter in law but was treated very badly by them.
